Violin family
Bridges cut for Violins, Cellos and Double Bass – start from $80
Bow rehairs are usually completed and returned within 24 hours – start from $80
Bows can be mailed to the workshop, repaired and mailed back express.
Cracks in the tops and back
Seams – where the sides come away from the top or the back and often cause a buzzing noise when a particular note is bowed .
Complete set up which may involve work on the bridge, nut and fingerboard

Guitars
Refretting – price depends on number of frets and type of board (e.g. Bound boards are a little extra)
Fret levelling, often needed after a couple of years of guitar playing to get the frets back to true.
Truss rod adjustment to stop buzzing or actions that have become to difficult to play without getting a sore hand
Nuts adjusted
Saddles adjusted
Bridges reglued
Tuners changed
French polish touch ups
Intonation – so your guitar will play in tune up the fretboard
Cracks repaired

Advanced repairs are completed such as broken necks replacements for violin family instruments and guitars. Depending on the instrument (age, quality) new necks (and scroll for violin family instruments) can be made or grafted.

All repair work is discussed in detail with a quote provided and agreed upon before any work is carried out.
